Minecraft has great gameplay (both in single player and multiplayer), but sometimes you want something new. In Minecraft, you can use cheat codes or cheat programs (such programs can be downloaded for free on the Internet). Such codes or programs are easy to use and they add variety to the gameplay of the game!

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Cheat Codes

Activating codes

1. 1 In Minecraft, you can launch the console and enter cheat codes into it. However, they must be activated before entering cheat codes. There are several ways to do this:
   • Single Player: Click the More World Options button in the game options. Then switch the "Allow cheats" option to the "On" position.
   • In multiplayer: Codes can be enabled by the host of the game (either by the LAN connection administrator or the creator of the game server) in the same way as in a single player game. In these cases, as a rule, only the host of the game can use cheat codes.
   • In some multiplayer games, cheat codes are enabled by moderators during the game.
2. 2 Open your console after starting the game. By default, this is done by pressing the "T" key. You can also press "/" to open the console with a forward slash; this is very convenient as all cheat codes start with a forward slash.
   • The console is the same as the chat window in a multiplayer game.
3. 3 Enter the cheat code. There are many codes that affect the gameplay of the game. The next section provides a short list of the most interesting codes. Please note that this list is far from complete.
4. 4 A complete list of cheat codes can be found on the Internet or in the game itself.
   • The / help code will display the entire list of codes. They are displayed on four pages. For page-by-page display of codes on the screen, enter the code in the form / help page number>, for example, / help3.
   • You can also enter “/” and then press TAB to move through the codes.

Code examples

1. 1 / give player> item> [amount] - the player receives a certain item. Enter this code to get what you need immediately.
   • Note: The value for item> must match the ID of Minecraft items (complete list can be found here).
   • Example: / give Joe123 minecraft: iron_pickaxe 10 - Joe123 will receive 10 pickaxes for iron mining.
2. 2 / tp [main player] target player> - teleport player. There is nothing more annoying than going to a certain place across the whole world. With this command, you can immediately find yourself where you need to.
   • Note: you can also use the code / tp [main player] x> y> z> to teleport to a point with coordinates (x, y, z).
   • Note: if you do not enter the name of the main player, then you teleport yourself (that is, your character).
   • Examples: / tp Joe123 Jane456 - teleports player Joe123 to player Jane456. / tp Joe123 100 50 -349 - teleport player Joe123 to a point with coordinates (100,50, -340).
3. 3 / enchant player> enchant> [level] - enchant items. With this code, you can immediately enchant any item.
   • Note: The enchant> value must match the Minecraft enchant ID (a complete list can be found here).
   • Notes: Enchant only applies to items the player is holding, and only to matching items (for example, enchanting a fishing rod will not work with a bow). The [level] value must be between 1 and the maximum level for certain enchantments; if the level is not specified, then by default it is equal to 1.
   • Example: / enchant Joe123 minecraft: protection - the player Joe123 will receive Protection III on any armor he has.
4. 4 / summon entity> [x] [y] [z] - spawns the specified entity at the specified coordinates. This command will spawn animals, monsters, and even lightning bolts wherever you specify.
   • Note: The entity> value must match the Minecraft entity id (a complete list can be found here).
   • Note: if coordinates are not specified, then the spawn point will be the current position of the player.
   • Example: / summon Creeper -100 59 450 - spawns a creeper at coordinates (-100,59,450).
5. 5 / weather clear | rain | thunder> [time] - sets the weather for a specific time.
   • Example: / weather rain 1000 - rain will start, which will continue for 1000 seconds.
6. 6 / kill [player] - killing the player's character (for example, if he dies or gets lost). But beware, many players don't like it when their characters get killed unexpectedly!
   • Note: if the player is not listed, then you will kill your character.
   • Note: Use the / ban command to eliminate unwanted players.
   • Example: / kill Joe123 - killing the player character Joe123.

Method 2 of 2: Cheat Programs

1. 1 Cheat programs that modify Minecraft gameplay can be found and downloaded on the Internet. They are usually fairly easy to use, but due to their large number, there is no universal cheat program that would suit any player. This section provides a quick overview of how to download and use cheat programs.
   • A good site for downloading cheat programs is MCHacks.net. There are many other similar sites, but MCHacks.net has a fairly simple interface and a wide selection of programs.
2. 2 Download the cheat program. Find and download the cheat program you need on the appropriate site (as a rule, a description of each such program is given on the site).
   • For example, we will download and install the Nodus Hacked Client cheat program, with which your character can fly, move through walls and much more. Nodus can be downloaded here.
3. 3 Unpack the ZIP archive using an archiving program (most of the cheat programs can be downloaded as archives). For information on unpacking archives read this article or this article.
   • Please note that the unzipping process may differ for archives with different cheat programs. Therefore, always look at the Readme or Help file that comes with the cheat program.
4. 4 Copy the cheat program to your Minecraft folder. The folders may differ depending on the downloaded cheat program. Therefore, always look at the Readme or Help file that comes with the cheat program.
   • In the case of Nodus Hacked Client, the location of this program depends on the operating system:
   • Windows: % appdata% . minecraft versions
   • Mac: ~ Library / ApplicationSupport / minecraft / versions
   • Linux: Home .minecraft versions
5. 5 Run the cheat program before starting the game. Some cheat programs require a new profile to be created, so always look at the Readme or Help file that comes with the cheat program.
   • To play with Nodus, follow these steps:
   • Open the Minecraft launcher.
   • Select "New Profile".
   • Enter a name for "Nodus 2.0" and a version for "release Nodus".
   • Save your profile.
   • Select a new profile and click "Play".
6. 6 Beware of restrictions on the use of cheats and cheat programs in multiplayer games. Whenever you use cheats or cheat programs, it is important to remember that not all players will appreciate the fact that in the game you can do things that others cannot. On many game servers, the use of cheat codes and cheat programs is restricted or prohibited (if you use cheat codes or programs on such sites, your IP will be blocked on them). Therefore, choose servers without any restrictions and prohibitions.
   • Never use cheat programs to deliberately spoil the worlds of other players; this is punished by the administrators of the game servers.

Tips

• Enter the code / toggledownfall to stop snowing or rain.
• To change the game mode, enter the code / gamemode (and a number between 0-2). 0 - survival, 1 - creative, 2 - adventure.
• If you need to quickly explore the world, enter the code / effect (player name) 1 100 100, and then enter the code / effect (player name) 8 100 5. Your character's speed will increase to 100, and he will get the fifth level of jumps within 100 seconds ... This level of jumping will allow you to jump over hills.

Warnings

• Many players do not like to use cheat codes and programs, because they believe that it degrades the gameplay.Before using cheat codes or software, make sure other players don't mind this.
• Do not use cheat codes or programs on servers where they are prohibited. Otherwise, your IP will be blocked on such sites.
