Finder has always been one of the main features of Mac OS X, and one of the most criticized. So Apple has gone to great lengths to troubleshoot Finder issues in Mac OS X Lion. This article will show you how to search for specific file types through the Finder in Mac OS X Lion.
Steps
1 Click on the Finder icon to open a new Finder window.
2 In the search bar (top right corner) enter kind: doc.
3 Select the file type from the drop-down menu.
4 Enter a search term and press Enter to start searching for files that match the type of your choice.
Tips
- In OS X Lion, you can launch Launchpad using shortcuts or hot corners by configuring them in System Preferences.
- Switch between applications in Launchpad by pressing and holding the mouse cursor and moving it left or right, or use two fingers on the trackpad.
