During the New Year period, everyone loves to listen to New Years and Christmas songs and everyone loves to play them on the piano. Even if you are not a musician, you can entertain your friends and family with a simple song like Jingle Bells. Once you learn how to play it, it will be easy to remember and you can play it wherever you can find a piano or synthesizer!

Steps

1. 1 Extend your right arm. You only need to use your right hand to play Jingle Bells. If you are a complete beginner, first you need to learn the "finger numbers".
   • Thumb is a number 1.
   • Indicator - number 2.
   • Middle finger - number 3.
   • Ring finger - number 4.
   • Little finger - number 5.
   • You can write numbers on your fingers if you can't remember the numbers, but it's actually very easy. If you already know the names of the notes, then you don't need to know the numbers of the fingers.
2. 2 Place your hand in the correct place on the piano keyboard. For Jingle Bells, the hand must be in the C position (only the right hand must be used). To find the C of the first octave, look at a piano or synth (or picture if you don't have an instrument) and notice that the black keys are arranged in groups of two and three.
3. 3 Find the group of two black keys closest to the middle of the keyboard.
4. 4 Place your right thumb on the white key to the left of the two black keys. This key is called the C of the first octave.
5. 5 Place the rest of your fingers on the white keys to the right of the C of the first octave. The fingers should span the five white keys, from C to G. This is the position before the first octave.
6. 6 Start playing.

Tips

• Practice! It will take some time to learn how to play everything correctly.
• If playing with just your right hand seems too easy for you, you can add chords with your left hand to make the song sound even better! Position your left hand in the same way as your right, but starting from C to the left of the C to the first octave. This note is called C minor octave. You will know that you have placed your hands correctly if there are three unoccupied white keys between your hands. To play a chord, press the keys with your 1st, 3rd, and 5th fingers (C, E, and G) at the same time. Hold the 4 note chord and then play it again. Do this at the same time as playing with your right hand.
• If the chord seems too complicated for you, you can play with only 1st and 5th fingers (C and G) instead.
