    • DIY soap
    • Make aloe vera smoothies
    • Make hair gel

  • Method 2 of 3: Mix aloe vera gel with honey

    1. Pour aloe vera gel into a plastic container. You need to use a box large enough to be able to mix more honey.
      • You can use smaller plastic containers if they are more convenient to store.
      • Use a container with a lid to keep the gel free of harmful agents.

    2. Mix honey into aloe vera gel in a ratio of 1: 1. Thanks to its low water content and high natural sugar content, honey helps aloe vera gel to last longer.
      • This is similar to the way we usually store fruits in the form of syrups or jam.
      • The high quality, preservative-free honey will ensure the aloe vera gel to last as long as possible.
    3. Put the aloe vera gel in a blender, but don't grind it yet. Pure aloe vera gel comes in a thick consistency that makes it a bit difficult to use at times.
      • Blending with a blender helps to make the aloe vera gel smoother and more fluid, making it easier to use.

    4. Add the crushed vitamin C tablet. For each ¼ cup (60 ml) of aloe vera gel, you will add 500 mg of vitamin C. When adding vitamin C, the aloe vera gel can be stored in the refrigerator for about 8 months.
      • You can buy vitamin C at a pharmacy or supermarket.
    5. Blend the mixture well in the blender for a while. This will evenly mix the vitamin C with the aloe vera gel, while also making the mixture a smoother and more liquid. After you finish grinding, you will get the product of aloe juice.
      • Aloe vera juice is much smoother and thinner than aloe vera gel.

    6. Pour aloe vera juice into a plastic container with a lid. You will see a layer of foam float above it, which will disappear after a few days so you don't need to pay attention to them.
    7. Place the aloe vera juice in the refrigerator for storage. At this point, you can use or bring the aloe vera juice to store for up to a month.
      • You can drink pure aloe vera juice or combine it with juices, smoothies and teas as well.
      • You can also use aloe vera juice to moisturize, bathe and condition your hair.

    Warning

    • If taking aloe vera gel directly from the leaves, make sure to cut a thin slice at the base of the leaf, then stand the leaf upright in water for a while to let the aloin in the leaves drain out.
    • Aloin is a strong laxative that, if not removed, can cause side effects in people who consume aloe vera products.
