2 Remove the shower head if possible. Unscrew the nozzle with many nozzles from the pipe in the wall. This makes it easier to clean.

3 Buy a large bottle of white vinegar. Distilled white vinegar is the most natural, readily available and widely used substance for demineralizing (softening) water.

Method 2 of 3: Part 2 of 3: Cleaning with vinegar

1. 1 Fill a container with distilled white vinegar.
   • Remove the shower head, then pour vinegar up to 7-10 cm into a non-metallic bowl. Place the shower head with the holes facing down into the bowl. Let it sit for at least 2 to 3 hours in the vinegar.
   • If you clean your shower head while it is still on, add 8 cm of vinegar to the level in a plastic bag. Take it to the bathroom. Place your shower head in a plastic bag filled with vinegar. Rotate the nozzles so they are facing down and wrap the rubber band around to prevent the vinegar from spilling out. Let the bait soak in the vinegar for 2-3 hours.
2. 2 Remove the vinegar shower head. Pour the vinegar down the drain.
3. 3 Use a vinegar-dipped toothbrush to clean the fine holes on the brush attachment. If you have highly mineralized water, this will loosen the limescale on the inside of the nozzle.
4. 4 Rinse the vinegar off the shower head with water.
   • If you removed the shower head, turn on the sink faucet and direct a strong stream of water through the shower head for 30 seconds.
   • If you haven't unscrewed the nozzle, simply turn on the high pressure water to clean out the vinegar and mineral deposits. Let the water run for 30 seconds.

Method 3 of 3: Part 3 of 3: Additional cleaning

1. 1 Remove the filter from the pipe. Rinse the filter under running water, then put it back in the pipe.
   • This will only be possible if you have removed the shower head. The filter is a small mesh screen that fits in the pipe before the shower head. Mineral deposits can clog the filter, resulting in lower water pressure.
2. 2 Polish the surface of the metal shower head with a soft cloth. This will remove water stains and make the attachment shine.
3. 3 Repeat the vinegar cleaning every 1 to 3 months, depending on how quickly mineral deposits build up in your shower head. It is best to clean the nozzle nozzles before deposits block the water flow.
