The transitional moment in personal development from a young adult to a young professional can be discouraging. 1. 1 Educate yourself about art:

   • Get a basic knowledge of the visual arts: painting, sculpture and architecture. Explore aesthetics, art theories, criticism, and other related topics. Travel to see famous paintings and monuments and admire them live, if of course you can afford the expense.
   • Go to the theater: plays, ballet, opera.
   • Get to know the art of cinema. Buy a movie guide. Rent, watch online or buy films of all genres. Look for cable channels that broadcast classic films, or purchase DVD collections of work from renowned directors.
   • Find something interesting in other art forms that will spark your curiosity.For example, culinary arts (food preparation and cuisine), arts and crafts (in particular, the creation and placement of furniture), calligraphy (the object of art is handwriting).

    • Remove yourself from groups that don't fit your new look. Replace them with community or economic groups.
    • Revise all other images, keep those that look non-aggressive and mature. The same applies to statuses and posts about yourself.
    • Remove too personal (or just unnecessary) information and never write about the salary. False information creates the image of an immature person, and, in any case, this does not concern anyone.
27. 27 Stop spending time in college cafes and seedy sports bars. The mighty of this world are willing to pay more for space and drinks in order to be able to meet people from high society.
    • Instead, invite your friends to ditch their regular T-shirts and dress in a way that matches the respectable establishment you are going to. Remember: now you are not going to get drunk, but to make new acquaintances and communicate with people.
28. 28 Be more selective in your drink choices. Gone are the days of choosing the cheapest beer in a place!
    • Instead of buying local beer, you should choose stylish imported beers or classic cocktails such as gin and tonic, martini or other drinks from the bartender.
    • Try different cocktails and find your favorite. Not all bars have a good selection of wine, so you should have your favorite cocktail in stock.
    • As your income grows, you can increase your preferences for quality drinks and expensive cocktails.
    • Do not enter drinking contests. Shots will get you drunk very quickly. A more sophisticated man will opt for a leisurely sip of his favorite drink and socializing with old friends (and making new ones!). We hope that you will at least remember these new friends and will be able to arrange the next meeting.
    • If you are in a place known for its excellent selection of imported beers, choose a beer. Ask your bartender or waiter for recommendations. If a restaurant is famous for its wine or a huge selection of quality spirits, you should discuss your choice with someone who understands the matter. Feel free to discuss the menu. Leave a note on your phone when you find something you really like.
29. 29 Refinement and culture are not limited to external manifestations. You must be a gentleman at heart. Keep your thoughts as pure as your body.

• When you behave in a sophisticated and cultured way, you still have to be yourself. Most people will feel the lie. Be confident in yourself and others will be confident in you.
• Think about all of your positive qualities, and make a list of them in your head. Use them as benefits; show them subtly in communication with others.
