Ephesians 6: 7 Serve with all your heart, not as for men, but as for God. A warm greeting from people gives them a pleasant feeling of being in the church. Become a hospitable companion for those who come to the house of God.

Steps

1. 1 Dress appropriately. Become professional but welcoming. You are part of a team; communicate with each other.
2. 2 Remember that you are on the "front line", therefore, you will leave one of the first impressions of the ministry. Warmly welcome parishioners and guests.
3. 3 Create a safe and healthy environment.
4. 4 Show directions to restrooms and other necessary areas.
5. 5 Escort visitors to their seats in the hall. Never leave them looking around looking for free space.
6. 6 Take care of a comfortable room temperature (if only you are responsible for this).
7. 7 Help people with special needs getting in and out of the church.
8. 8 Strive for a close relationship with God and seek His anointing so that He Himself will touch people.
9. 9 Arrive at the church at least half an hour, or better yet, an hour before the start of the event to make sure the premises are ready for the arrival of guests. Provide an opportunity for attendees to pray before the service begins.

Tips

• If you can't get there when scheduled, find yourself a replacement.
• Always be willing to collaborate with others.
• Let people, parishioners and church guests feel your hospitality.
• Have information on the schedule of services.
• Find out the location of all rooms.
• Never be late for a service.
• Always smile.
• Pray, fast, and meet regularly with other believers. This is your step towards getting closer to the Lord!
• Avoid long conversations (including with other ministers).
• Don't be angry with the parishioners.
• Help your fellow ministers, if necessary.
• Keep your movements to a minimum, especially after the start of the ministry.
• Walk around the premises to make sure no one gets lost.
• When the church fills with people, keep an eye on where there are empty spaces.
• Make sure that the doors of the hall where the service is taking place are closed, monitor people entering and leaving.
• Familiarize yourself with the ministry order so that you can accompany latecomers without interfering with what is happening.

Notes

1. The escort ministry is an important part of any church ministry. The escorts are representatives of the church and help set the tone in preparation for the ministry of worship, as well as provide order throughout the ministry.
2. Guides need to be always ready to react if something interferes with the course of the ministry, someone has health problems, or something else that requires special attention.
3. Always be vigilant.
