Snapchat is an instant messaging app for smartphones. This application allows you to send messages containing videos and photos instead of just plain text. Snapchat has a unique feature: you can only view a photo or video once in a given period of time. The photo or video will then disappear. Luckily, after updating the Snapchat app to the latest version with the Replay feature, you can see the photos or videos you watched for the second time. Snapchat version 9.29.3.0 allows you to review Snapchat received a second time.

Steps

1. 

   Update Snapchat to the latest version. If you haven't updated Snapchat in a while, update it to the most recent version (9.29.3.0) at the app store. Once updated, you can turn on Replay which allows you to review one Snap per day. This is a new feature that applies to every Snap you receive.
   • Snapchat previously sold the Replay add-on, but is no longer available for sale. If you bought this feature, you can still use it, but no longer have to buy it.

   See the Snap you get. You will need to view a Snap before you can use the Replay feature for that Snap. Click on Get Snap to start watching.
   • If you have multiple unseen Snapshots from the same sender, all Snaps will be run one after another, and Replay will re-enable all of them in the same order.

   Do not log out of your Inbox after viewing Snap. Replay feature only works when you stay in the Inbox screen after viewing Snap. If you exit the app or return to the camera screen, you lose the opportunity to see the Snap again.

   Press and hold the Snap you just finished viewing to activate Replay. You should see the Snap icon rotate and a "Tap to view" (Tap to review) will appear.
   • When you do this for the first time after an update, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm if you want to re-enable the Snap.
   • If you want to Replay a specific Snap out of the series of Snap you receive, swipe right on that Snap to open chat with that person. Press and hold the Snap you want to review in your chat history. You can just re-enable the Snap you just received. Snap cannot be re-enabled if you exit the chat screen or Inbox.

   Click the Snap review button to view it again. The Snap will start running again. Do not leave the screen before pressing because you will lose the Replay opportunity.

   Review any Snap you receive. You can now review every Snap you receive instead of just once per day. The sender will also be able to see when you've reviewed the Snap they sent you. advertisement

Advice

• While you can't save Snapshots using the Snapchat app without notifying the sender that you've taken a screenshot, there is a way to do it. However, these actions violate Snapchat's TOS and are considered negative behavior, and the device may require jailbreaking.
