Mark your feet length and width on the paper. Through these markers, draw lines connecting the edges of the footframe outline.

Measure feet length. Use a tape measure or tape measure to measure your foot from fingertips to under heels. Record this measurement. This measure is crucial in determining shoe size.

Measure foot width. Measure the distance between the lines on the left and right, then record the measurements. Shoes come in different widths, so measuring the width will help you determine which shoe to buy.

Subtract the dimensions of the dimension 3/16 inch (about 0.5 cm). This is the allowance for the slight deviation between the pencil line and the actual size of the foot.

Use the length and width measurements to determine the shoe size on the shoe size chart. Men's and women's shoe sizes will be different, and shoe sizes for different countries will also be different. advertisement

   For women, compare foot length measurements to women's shoe sizes, below the US shoe size table.

   Consider foot width. Wide range of shoes are classified according to the following sizes AA, A, B, C, D, E, EE, and EEEE. B is the average for women, D is the average for men. A and below A are small, E and above E are wider and wider (See table below).

• If possible, you should try on shoes before you buy.
• Each shoe brand comes in slightly different sizes, so you may have to increase or decrease the size by one size.
