This article shows you how to install and use WhatsApp on an iPhone or Android phone. WhatsApp is a free messaging application that allows you to send messages or call WhatsApp users when you have a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
Steps
Method 1 of 8: Install WhatsApp
- (New Chats) in the top right corner of the screen.
- If using Android, tap the white chat box icon on a green background in the lower right corner of the screen.

Advice
- When the "Chats" page has too many chats, it's a good idea to delete old chats.
- You can use the sender list to send messages to multiple people when you don't want to create a chat group.
Warning
- If your cellular data plan is limited, using WhatsApp might incur costs when you don't have a Wi-Fi connection. Turn off WhatsApp when you are using mobile data to avoid incurring charges.
- The WhatsApp app is not supported on tablets, but Android users can install WhatsApp on the tablet using an APK file.
