This article shows you how to install and use WhatsApp on an iPhone or Android phone. WhatsApp is a free messaging application that allows you to send messages or call WhatsApp users when you have a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.

Advice

• When the "Chats" page has too many chats, it's a good idea to delete old chats.
• You can use the sender list to send messages to multiple people when you don't want to create a chat group.

Warning

• If your cellular data plan is limited, using WhatsApp might incur costs when you don't have a Wi-Fi connection. Turn off WhatsApp when you are using mobile data to avoid incurring charges.
• The WhatsApp app is not supported on tablets, but Android users can install WhatsApp on the tablet using an APK file.
