This article will guide you how to sign out of Google Play on an Android device by logging out of your Google account on your phone and how to sign out of the Google Play website on your computer.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On Android devices

1. 

   (Install) on Android device. The icon is a gear in the app tray.
   • Or you can swipe down the screen and click the icon

   Select item Accounts (Account). This section lists all the accounts that you have signed in to your phone.
   • On some versions of Android, this might be called "Cloud & Accounts" or "Accounts & Sync", or something similar.

   Choose Google. This item is displayed next to the icon with a white background and an inner red, yellow, green and blue capital "G". This will bring up a list of Google account settings that you are logged into on your phone.

   Click the account you want to sign out of. The options for this account will appear.

   Click the icon ⋮. This icon is the three aligned ellipses in the upper-right corner of the Google account settings page. A drop-down menu will appear.

   Choose Remove account (Delete the account). It's the second option in the drop-down menu in the upper right corner. A popup window to confirm deletion of the account will appear.

   Choose Remove account (Delete the account). This confirms that you want to remove your Google account and sign in from all apps that use this Google account.

Method 2 of 2: On the computer

1. 

   Visit the website https://play.google.com from the browser. You can use any browser on your computer or Mac.

2. 

   Click the profile picture. Your profile picture is in the upper right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear.

3. 

   Click Sign Out (Log out). This will sign out of your Google account from the Google Play website.
   • To sign back in, you'll click the "Sign In" option in the top right corner of the screen, then sign in using the email address and password associated with your Google Play account.
