This wikiHow teaches you how to sign in to Telegram on your Android device.

Steps

1. 

   Open Telegram on your Android device. An app with a blue circle with a white paper plane inside, usually on the home screen or app drawer.
   • If you don't have the Telegram app, open it Play Store, Find Telegram then click INSTALL (Setting).

   Click Start Messaging (Start texting). This green button is at the bottom of the screen.
   • If this is your first time using the app on a phone / tablet, tap OK when prompted, then tap ALLOW (Allow) to grant the app permission to receive calls and SMS messages.

   Enter your phone number and tap the check mark. Telegram will send you an SMS message to confirm your phone number.

4. 

   Enter the code in the SMS and tap the check mark. This code is in the body of Telegram message. So you are logged into Telegram.
   • If this is your first time setting up Telegram, you need to tap ALLOW when prompted to allow the app to access your phone's contacts and media.
