Cutting a right triangle out of a square piece of paper is easy. But this is not the case in the case of an equilateral triangle. This article will show you how to cut an equilateral triangle from a square piece of paper.

Steps

1. 1 Take a square sheet of paper (hereinafter just a square).
2. 2 Fold the square in half.
3. 3 Measure the side of the square (in our example, it is 146 mm).
4. 4 Lay the square so that the fold is vertical. Take a ruler and place a number equal to the side length of the square in the lower left corner of the square. Place the number 0 on the fold.
5. 5 Draw a line.
6. 6 Take a ruler and place a number equal to the side length of the square in the lower right corner of the square. Place the number 0 on the fold. Draw a line.
7. 7 Cut out a triangle along the lines you have drawn.
8. 8 Made!
