Method 1 of 3: Mac

1. 

   in the lower left corner of the screen to open the Start menu with built-in search.

   Type system information go to the search bar in the lower left corner of the screen.

   Press ↵ Enter. The System Information window will open. There are four tabs listed in the upper left corner of the window:
   • System Summary - This is the default tab that System Information opens; This card contains details about the computer's operating system, installation memory and processor type.
   • Hardware Resources - View the list of hardware drivers and information related to the device (such as the webcam or controller) of the computer.
   • Components - View a list of technical components in your computer such as USB ports, CD drives, and speakers.
   • Software Environment - View control programs and computer operations.

Method 3 of 3: Windows 7, Vista, and XP

   Keep key ⊞ Win and press R. The Run dialog box will appear, this program allows you to run system commands.

   Type msinfo32 go to the Run window. The command will open the Windows computer system information program.

   Click the button OK at the bottom of the Run window. The System Information window will open.

   View computer system information. There are several tabs in the upper left corner of the window that you can use to view different aspects of the system:
   • System Summary - This is the default tab that System Information opens; This card contains details about the computer's operating system, installation memory and processor type.
   • Hardware Resources View the list of hardware drivers and information related to the device (such as the webcam or controller) of the computer.
   • Components - View a list of technical components in your computer such as USB ports, CD drives, and speakers.
   • Software Environment - View control programs and computer operations.
   • Internet Settings - Your computer may not have this option; If so, you can use this tab to view different sections of your computer's internet connection information.
