This wikiHow teaches you how to remove iTunes (along with all Apple services) from your computer.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On Windows

1.

Method 2 of 2: On a Mac

   Click Go in the menu bar of your Mac computer.
   • If you don't see an option GoClick the desktop, or open Finder.

   Click Applications (Application). Options are in the drop-down menu Go.

   Select iTunes. Find and click the multicolored iTunes icon on a white background to open the application.

   Click File (File). Options are located in the upper left of the screen.

   Click Get Info (Receive information). The task is near the top of the drop-down menu File.

   Double-click the card Sharing & Permissions (Share & permissions) near the bottom of the iTunes info menu. The card will expand with additional options.

   Click the padlock icon in the lower right corner of the window.

   Enter your administrator password when prompted. This will unlock the Sharing & Permissions menu, allowing you to change permissions on the program.

   Change the "everyone" permission (everyone) to "Read & Write". Click the mark ^ to the right of the "everyone" header, then click Read & Write to set as the default iTunes access. This setting will allow you to delete iTunes.

    Click the padlock icon again to save the changes.

11. 

    Click and drop iTunes in the trash (Trash). Trash is in the right corner of the Dock on a Mac computer. This will uninstall iTunes.

    Empty the trash. Long click on the Trash icon, click next Empty Trash in the pop-up menu and select Empty Trash when asked. The Recycle Bin will be completely emptied and iTunes removed from the computer.
    • You may need to restart your Mac for iTunes to completely disappear.
