Screen capture is a great way to capture images that you find online, in email, or simply enjoy sharing something on the screen. If you want to know how to take screenshots while using iPad, follow the simple steps below.

Steps

1. 

   Find something you want to capture. Search your iPad to see what you want to capture the most. You can capture an interesting part of the email, take a screenshot of the application that shows the weather in your city, take a picture of something fascinating you find on the Internet, take a screenshot of a contest. Chat with friends or take a lot of other things.

   Locate the Sleep / Wake button. This button is located in the upper right of the iPad. You usually use this button to turn your iPad on or off.

   Locate the Home button (the button that brings you back to the home screen). This is the circular button in the center of the bottom of the iPad. You should see a square with white border inside the button.

   Hold the Sleep / Wake button, press and release the Home button at the same time. After that, release your hand from the Sleep / Wake button (maybe a while later).
   • Don't Hold both buttons for too long as you may power off your iPad. You just need to "press" the Home button, not hold it.

   If you followed the above step correctly, you will hear the camera shutter sound and see a white screen.

   Check if you have successfully taken the screenshot. You just need to go to Camera Roll (where the photo is stored) to see if the captured photo has appeared there. To enter Camera Roll, simply tap "Photos" on your home screen.
   • "Camera Roll" is the first album on the list.
   • Find the most recent photo at the bottom. Chances are you'll see your screenshot here.

Advice

• The above method also works with iPod / iPhone.
• If you want to sync (sync) photos to your computer, just connect your iPad to your computer with a USB cable and download (download) photos via iTunes.
• After taking a photo, you can email it to yourself or someone else if you can locate the photo in Camera Roll.
• If you have iCloud, the screenshots are automatically synced to your other iOS devices.
