In this wikiHow article, learn how to see who your very best friends are on Facebook. Your best Facebook friends are both the people you interact with the most and people you often search for. Just keep in mind that Facebook uses a calculation method to determine who your best friends are, and this method changes often.

Method 1 of 2: On a mobile

1. Open Facebook. Open Facebook by tapping the Facebook icon. You can recognize this icon by a white "f" against a dark blue background. If you are already logged in, your news stream will now be automatically loaded.
   • If you are not logged in yet, please enter your email address and password before continuing.
2. Tap on ☰. You can find this button either in the bottom right corner of the screen (iPhone) or in the top right corner of the screen (Android).
3. Tap on Friends. This icon is in the form of two blue shadow figures in the shape of persons.
4. View your list of friends. All the people who appear at the top of the page are people whom Facebook has determined to be your best friends.
   • People further down the list are also friends of yours, but you haven't interacted with these people as much as you did with the people at the top of the list.
   • A good basic rule to stick to is that you think of the top five to ten people on the list as the people you interact with most often. This is based on your interactions with those people, but not necessarily on their interactions with you.

Method 2 of 2: On a computer

1. Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/. If you are already logged in, your news stream will now automatically be loaded.
   • If you are not logged in yet, please enter your email address and password at the top right of the page before continuing.
2. Click on the tab with your name. At the top of the Facebook page, to the right of the middle, you will find a tab with your first name on it. Clicking on it will open your profile page.
3. click on Friends. You'll find this option just below your cover photo at the top of the page. Your friends list will now open.
4. View your list of friends. All the people at the top of the list are people that Facebook thinks are your best friends (for example, someone you interact with a lot).
   • Think of the top five to ten people on the list as the people you interact with most often. This is based on your interactions with those people, but not necessarily on their interactions with you.
   • The further down the list someone is, the less often you have had contact with that person. This does not apply to a new friend you've just added and who you then start talking to right away, or if you start looking at that person's publications right away.

Tips

• If you have added someone to your "Best Friends" list within Facebook, that person will automatically be placed more at the top of the list than people you have not put on your "Best Friends" list.
• There is a way in which you can see through the source code of your browser how Facebook determines who your best friends are. This will only return the exact same results as viewing your friends list directly.

Warnings

• Never install Facebook apps that are claimed to be able to track who visits your Facebook profile. Facebook has never disclosed a way to track who views your profile, so any apps that are said to be could be spam at best, virus at worst.
