This article will teach you how to tell if someone has saved a message that you sent to them in a conversation on Snapchat. Saving a message is not the same as taking a screenshot of a Snap.
To step
- Open the Snapchat app. It resembles the figure of a white ghost on a yellow background.
- If you are not logged in yet, click on login and enter your username (or email address) and password.
- Swipe right on your camera screen. This will take you to the Chats page.
- Click on a contact name. This will open a chat window with that contact.
- This must be a contact with no unread messages.
- You can search for a specific contact person by entering their name in the Search bar at the top of the screen.
- Swipe down on the chat window. This will display your chat history with the selected contact.
- If neither you nor your contact has saved any chat messages, you will not be able to scroll up.
- Look for messages with gray backgrounds. If you see a message with a gray background, it was saved either by you or by your contact. Messages you save will have a vertical red bar link on the left. Messages saved by friends will then have a blue line again.
- You can save a chat message by clicking and holding it.
Tips
- Messages saved by you and your contact will appear in your chat history.
Warnings
- If you want to save a message, you must do so before leaving the Chats page or else the message will be gone.
