This wikiHow shows you how to switch to Street View mode on Android and view photos of a selected location on Google Maps.

Resume

1. Open Google Maps.
2. Click the button Explore.
3. Tap and hold a location on the map.
4. Tap the Street View preview in the lower left corner.

To step

  1. Open the Google Maps app on your Android. The Google Maps app looks like a red location pin on a small map icon. You can find it in your Apps menu.
  2. Press the button Explore. This button looks like a gray location pin and can be found at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Search for the location you want to see on the map. You can tap your screen and drag the map, or move two fingers apart or together to zoom in and zoom out.
    • You can also use the search bar to find a location or coordinate. This one is called Search here and can be found at the top of your screen.
  4. Tap and hold a location on the map. This will drop a red pin on the selected location. You can see a preview of the Street View image of this location in the lower left corner of the map.
  5. Tap the Street View preview. A preview image will appear in the lower left corner when you drop a location PIN. Tapping it will switch the full screen image to Street View.
  6. Tap and drag on your screen to view your surroundings. Street View offers a 360 degree view of your selected location.
  7. Swipe up and down on blue road lines. So you can travel and walk around Street View. If a road or street is marked with a blue line on the ground, swiping on the blue line will allow you to walk down the street.
