You can like individual user posts on Facebook, as well as public events and interest pages. Unfortunately, Facebook doesn't allow you to hide likes on individual user posts. However, you can remove likes from your activity log and hide likes for public profiles and interest pages.

Method 1 of 4: Remove Likes on iOS App

1. Open the Facebook app. If you are not automatically signed in, log in with your email address and password.
2. Tap the three horizontal bars. They are in the bottom right corner of your session.
3. Tap your profile name.
4. Tap Activity Log.
5. Tap Filter.
6. Tap Likes.
7. Tap the downward pointing arrow to the right of a message.
8. Tap Unlike.
   • For friends and events you will see "Hide on timeline".
   • For responses you see "Delete".

Method 2 of 4: Remove Likes on Android App

1. Open the Facebook app. If you are not automatically signed in, log in with your email address and password.
2. Tap the three horizontal bars. These are in the top right corner of your session.
3. Tap Activity Log. This will be below your Facebook profile picture.
4. Tap Filter.
5. Tap Likes.
6. Tap the downward pointing arrow to the right of a message.
7. Tap Unlike.
   • For friends and events you will see "Hide from timeline".
   • For responses you see "Delete".

Method 3 of 4: Remove Likes on Desktop Site

1. Open the Facebook website.
2. Log in to your account.
3. Click on your profile name. This is at the top of your screen.
4. Click View Activity Log. This button is on your Facebook profile banner.
5. Click on the pencil icon. This is to the right of each message.
6. Click on Unlike. Your changes are automatically saved.

Method 4 of 4: Hide Likes Section on Desktop Site

1. Open the Facebook website. Currently, this can only be done on the desktop version of Facebook. This cannot be done through the mobile app or site.
2. Log in to your account.
3. Click on your profile name. This is at the top of your screen.
4. Move over More.
5. Click Manage Sections.
6. Scroll down to "Likes".
7. Check the box next to "Likes".
8. Click on Save. Now your "Like" section is hidden on your page, so now no one can click on it and access it.

Warnings

• If you hide posts on your timelines, they will be removed from the main timeline on your dashboard. Events you like will not appear on your profile page unless you share something.
• Again, it is not possible to hide individual likes from a post. When you view your likes in the activity log, you will see the default settings for each post. These cannot be changed by you, only by the creator of that post or community.
