Nothing is more beautiful than a pair of beautiful, large, brown eyes (or blue, green, or gray). Unfortunately, nature does not always cooperate, so that we often do not have the eyes we would like most. Method 1 of 3: Using makeup

1. Reduce puffy eyes. Swelling of the skin on and around your eyes can make them appear smaller. Try the following steps to reduce swelling:
   • Get enough sleep.
   • Wash your face with cool water.
   • Place cold, used tea bags on your eyes. The tannins in the tea make the skin contract, tightening the skin.
   • Eat less salt. Too much salt leads to water retention, which can make your eyes puffy.
   • Exercise to improve blood circulation, so you retain less water.
2. Try cold spoons on your lids. Before going to bed, put two spoons in the freezer for one night. When you wake up in the morning, wipe the temple from your eyes and place the two spoons each on one eyelid for one minute. This method helps your eyes look bigger and more radiant throughout the day. (And, it helps reduce the dark circles under your eyes.)

Tips

• There are many videos available online with make-up instructions showing how to make your eyes look bigger.
• There is no scientific evidence that a little olive oil on your eyelashes helps to grow them. It does make them shinier, making them appear longer, but it does not stimulate growth.
• If you don't have white eyeliner then you can use the black one and use it halfway through. Don't go all the way as that will make your eyes look smaller.
• There are lenses, especially in Asian countries, that make your iris look bigger. That changes the ratio between your eye and the iris, making it look like your eyes are bigger. There are websites where you can order them.
• If you choose to open your eyes wider than usual, try to raise your eyebrows slightly to keep the proportions right, but going too far will only make you look surprised, so be careful.
• If you don't have an eyelash curler, try using hot spoons from under hot water and gently hold them against your lashes. Then when you have your desired curl, hold the spoon towards the end to keep it that way. Apply mascara and blow-dry on the warm setting to lock it in for good!

Warnings

• Don't keep your eyes wide open, it just seems like you're surprised all the time.
• If you do keep your eyes wide open, make sure you don't open your nostrils as well.
