This wikiHow shows you how to change the location from which you see content on YouTube. You can do this on both the YouTube website and the YouTube app. Changing your location will prevent you from seeing some videos.

Method 1 of 2: Change the location on a computer

1. Open YouTube. Go to https://www.youtube.com/. If you are logged in to YouTube you will now see the homepage of your profile.
   • If you are not logged in to YouTube, click LOGIN and enter your email address and password before continuing.
2. Click on your account icon. This icon is located in the top right corner of the YouTube page. A drop-down menu will appear.
3. click on Location. This option is located at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
4. Choose a country. Click on the country you want to view content from. Doing this will refresh the page and show you content from that country.

Method 2 of 2: Change the location on a mobile device

1. Open YouTube. Tap the YouTube app icon. This icon resembles the red and white YouTube logo. If you are logged in to YouTube you will now see the homepage of your profile.
   • If you are not logged in, enter your email address and password before continuing.
2. Tap your account icon. This icon is located in the top right corner of the screen. A menu will open.
3. Tap on Settings. You will find this option in the middle of the screen.
4. Tap on General (only for Android devices). If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can skip this step.
5. Tap on Location. This option is located at the bottom of the section headed "YOUTUBE".
6. Select a country from the list.
7. Tap on . This arrow is located in the top left corner of the screen. Your settings will be saved and you should now be able to see videos that can only be seen in that country or area.

Warnings

• Changing the location may prevent you from seeing certain videos in your current country.
