This article will teach you how to remove someone from a chat channel or group conversation on Discord when using a computer.

Method 1 of 2: Banned someone from a channel

1. Go to https://www.discordapp.com. You can use any browser to open Discord, such as Firefox or Safari.
   • If you haven't signed in yet, click the "Login" button in the top right corner of the screen, enter your account information, then press "Login".
2. Select the server on which the channel resides. Servers are displayed on the left of the screen.
3. Select a channel. Channels appear in the main panel. Now you should see the chat channel on the right side of the screen along with a list of its members.
4. Click on the user you want to ban. A pop-up menu will appear.
5. Click Banned (username). A pop-up message will appear.
6. Click Banned to confirm. The user can now no longer join the channel.

Method 2 of 2: Remove someone from a group conversation

1. Go to https://www.discordapp.com. You can use any browser to open Discord, such as Firefox or Safari.
   • While there is no real way to ban someone from a direct conversation, you can remove someone from the group. Once banned, that person will no longer be part of the conversation.
   • If you haven't signed in yet, click the "Login" button in the top right corner of the screen, enter your account information, then press "Login".
2. Select the group conversation. All of your direct messages, including messages between multiple people (group conversations), will appear under the "Direct Messages" heading. This is in the second column on the left of the screen.
3. Click on the member icon. This is in the top right corner of the screen and looks like two people overlapping each other. It's to the right of the pushpin icon. A list of people in the group should appear.
4. Click on the person you want to remove. A pop-up menu will appear.
5. Click Remove from group. This person can no longer participate in the group conversation.
