Using the Strength skill, you will be able to visit many places that were previously inaccessible to you. To gain Strength, you will need to explore the Safari Zone maze to find the lost Warden item. See Step 1 below to learn how to find it and claim Strength for yourself.

To step

1. Enter the Safari Zone. This zone is located on the northern edge of Fuchsia City. You can travel to Fuchsia City using the PokeFlute, which you received as a reward for completing the Pokémon Tower in Lavender City.
   • Once you are in the Safari Zone you can take 500 steps before you are automatically kicked out. Make every step count!
2. Find the Gold Teeth. The Warden in Fuchsia City has lost its Gold Teeth in the Safari Zone. If you find them and bring them back to him, he will give you HM04, which contains Strength. The Gold Teeth are located deep in the Safari Zone.
   • When you first enter the Safari Zone, go to the right and then up until you reach the exit at the right edge of the screen.
   • Walk to the right in the new screen until you find the stairs in the rocks. Go up the stairs and then walk back along the stairs on the right. Go down the other stairs, go around the cliff and then walk to the top of the screen. Climb the stairs in the next rocky area and then descend the stairs on the right. Walk around the rocks and exit the screen on the left.
   • Walk to the left in the new screen, past the first staircase in the rocks. Continue until the second rock formation comes into view. Walk up the stairs and then walk to the left and down. Walk down the stairs in the rocks. Walk straight up, keeping the bushes to your left. You will pass two small lakes, after which the bushes will curve to the right. Keep walking along it until the hedge of bushes ends. Walk around the wall and then walk back, keeping to the left. Follow the path back down until you reach the exit at the bottom of the screen.
   • Take a few steps straight down and you will see a Poké ball. Pick him up to discover the Gold Teeth.
   • If you have not yet obtained Surf, you have to walk to the left in the screen until you come across a house. Enter the house and talk to the man to receive HM03, which contains Surf.
   • Walk around until you have made all possible steps. This will automatically exit the Safari Zone.
3. Return the Gold Teeth to the Warden. Exit the Safari Zone and walk to the eastern part of Fuchsia City. The Warden's home is located east of the Pokémon Center. Enter the house and talk to the Warden. After thanking you, he will give you HM04, which you can then give to a Pokémon to learn Strength.

Tips

• If you already have the HM Surf you can use it to go west from Zone 1 in the Safari Zone. This will allow you to skip a lot of steps.

Warnings

• Since you can only take 500 steps in the Safari Zone, you may have to enter the zone more than once.
