Google Chrome is a lightweight browser that you can download for free for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android and iOS. Read this article to learn how to download and install it.

Method 1 of 2: Download from Chrome on PC / Mac / Linux

1. Go to the Google Chrome website. You can use any browser to download chrome. If you have never installed a browser before, you can use the default browser of your operating system (Internet Explorer for Windows and Safari for Mac OS X).
2. Click on "Download Chrome". Now the window opens with the general terms and conditions.
3. Indicate whether you want to use Chrome as the default browser. If you choose this, Chrome will open automatically when you click on a link in, for example, an e-mail.
   • You can choose to send data back to Google by checking "Help to improve Google Chrome ...". Then you send "crash reports", preferences and "clicks" to Google. You do not send any personal information or surfing data.
4. Click on "Accept and Install" when you have read the terms and conditions. The installer will now start and install Chrome.
5. Log in to Chrome. After installing, a window will open with some information. You can sign in with your Google account to sync your bookmarks, preferences and history with a Chrome browser on another device.

Method 2 of 2: Download from Chrome on your mobile device

1. Open your device's store. On Android it is Play Store, on iOS it is App Store. Chrome is available for Android 4.0 and above and iOS 5.0 and above.
2. Search for Chrome. It is published by Google, Inc. Tap the install button to start downloading and installing. You may need to give permission before it can be installed.
3. Open the app. After installing, a window will open with some information. You can sign in with your Google account to sync your bookmarks, preferences and history with a Chrome browser on another device.
