This wikiHow teaches you how to view WhatsApp archive chat conversations on your iPhone or Android device.

Method 1 of 2: Using an iPhone

1. Open WhatsApp. This is the green app on your home screen with a white telephone receiver in a cloud of speech.
2. Tap Chat conversations. This is the speech cloud icon at the bottom of the screen.
   • When a WhatsApp conversation opens, tap the button first Back in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Swipe down in the center of the screen. You will now see the option at the top of the screen Archived chat conversations are in blue letters.
   • If all of your conversations are archived, you will have the option Archived chat conversations at the bottom of the screen without having to swipe down.
4. Tap Archived Chat Conversations. By doing this you will see a list of conversations you have archived.
   • If you don't see anything on this page, you don't have any archived conversations.
5. Tap a conversation. The conversation will now open for you to view.
   • You can swipe left on an archived conversation to move it back to your inbox.

Method 2 of 2: Using an Android device

1. Open WhatsApp. This is the app with a white telephone receiver in a green speech cloud.
2. Tap Chat conversations. This tab is located almost at the top of the screen.
   • When opening a WhatsApp conversation, first tap the "Back" button in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Scroll down to your inbox. You should now have the option Archived chat conversations (number) should see it appear.
   • If you don't see this option, you don't have any archived conversations.
4. Tap Archived Chat Conversations. Now you will see all your archived conversations.
5. Tap the conversation you want to view. This will open the conversation for you to scroll through.
