Even if you're not going on vacation this summer, a beach scene can be fun to watch, and it is certainly fun to draw. Follow these easy steps to draw a beach with just a few wavy lines.

To step

1. Draw a straight line for the shape of the sea. Draw a line of curves directly below the shoreline of the beach.
2. Draw parallel but curved lines for the trunk of the palm trees. If you want, you can stick your palm tree out to the side of the shoreline, but either way the lines have to parallel drawn together.
3. Add the sun to it. Draw a semicircle and some clouds using several circles.
4. Draw the palm fronds of your tree. Draw banana-like shapes attached to the top of the tree trunk. Do this all the way around the top of the tree trunk until your palm tree has enough foliage.
5. Add another palm tree if you wish. Do this by simply following the previous steps for drawing a palm tree again. Erase the lines within the clouds you drew earlier, as well as other unnecessary lines.
6. Use green and brown for the trees, buff for the sand and some shades of blue / orange for the sky (depending on the time of day). The water will reflect these colors as well, so keep that in mind.

Tips

• Draw lightly with pencil so you can easily erase mistakes.
• Add animals if you wish, such as a dolphin or shark fin sticking out of the water.
• Once you have finished your drawing, you can turn it into a line drawing with colored pencils or a highlighter.
• You can also add things that you find on a beach, such as beach balls, towels, sandcastles, footprints in the sand, or a beach chair and a volleyball net.
• Lightly color in the drawing.
