Finding people in Clash of Clans is a bit more difficult than you think. You can use Facebook to contact all of your Facebook friends who also play Clash of Clans. On iOS devices, you can also use GameCenter to find your GameCenter friends in Clash of Clans. If you want to attack your friend's clan, you have to stick to strict timing to make it work.

Method 1 of 2: Add friends to your clan

1. Use Facebook or iOS GameCenter to add friends. These two methods are currently the only way to add friends to your clan.
   • Supercell (the developer of Clash of Clans) is currently in the process of adding support for friends on Google+ through Play Games, but this feature is not available yet.
2. Link Clash of Clans to your Facebook account. This allows you to find your Facebook friends who also have Clash of Clans linked to their account.
   • Open Clash of Clans and press the Trophy button.
   • Tap the Friends tab and then "Connect to Facebook".
   • Confirm that you want to link the account to the Facebook app or website when it opens. You will need to log in to Facebook if you have not already done so.
3. Add friends in GameCenter to see them in Clash of Clans (iOS only). If you're using an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you can find your friends from GameCenter in Clash of Clans. You can add people to your GameCenter friend list as long as you know their nickname on GameCenter or their email address.
   • Open the GameCenter app on your iOS device.
   • Tap the "Friends" tab at the bottom of the screen.
   • Press the "+" button in the top right corner.
   • Search for your friends by nickname on GameCenter or their Apple ID email address.
4. Add people from your friends list in Clash of Clans to your clan. After connecting to the account on Facebook and / or GameCenter, you can invite your friends there to join your clan.
   • Press the Trophy button in Clash of Clans, then press the "Friends" tab.
   • Tap the friend you want to invite. You will only see people who have also linked Clash of Clans to Facebook or GameCenter.
   • Press "Invite" to send a clan invitation. This option will only appear if that person is not yet in a clan.
5. Find people by searching for their clan. You can find other users by searching for their clan's tag, if you know it. Know that you will not be able to invite them to your clan because they are already in a clan.
   • Press the "i" button at the top of the screen.
   • Press the "Join Clan" tab.
   • Type the clan's tag with a "#" in front of it. For instance; "# P8URPQLV".

Method 2 of 2: Attack your friend's clan

1. Try this at higher levels. Since you rely on good luck to be played against your friend, you will have better luck at higher levels. This is because there are fewer possible pairs at higher levels, while there are numerous possible pairs at the lower levels. If you're trying to challenge a friendly clan, you may have to wait for both of you to level up.
   • There is no way to choose a specific clan to attack.
2. Make sure your Town Halls are about the same level during the war. When trying to be played against a friend's clan, make sure your Town Hall levels are close to each other.
   • For example, Clan A can have four Level 10 Town Halls and three Level 9 Town Halls. Clan B can have four Level 10 Town Halls and five Level 9 Town Halls.
   • You will be most successful when you have the same number of Town Halls on the same level. Both clans should have at least the same number of top tier Town Halls.
3. Agree with the other clan leader to start the wars at the same time. Both clan leaders should try to press the "Start War" button at the same time. This increases the chance that your clans will be played off against each other. You may need to discuss this over the phone or an app to chat so that you guys are sure to hit the button at the same time.
4. If it didn't work, try again. This procedure depends on timing and luck, so there's a good chance it won't work if you try it. Just try again when your clan is ready to go to war.
