When you interact with others on Facebook in Facebook Chat, there are a number of built-in emoticons and smiley faces that you can use to really express your feelings and get your message across more clearly. The middle finger icon is not built into Facebook Chat by default, but there are a range of different codes you can type in Chat that will allow you to send various middle finger emoticons to your friends on Facebook.

To step

1. Enter one of the following codes for the “middle finger” in Facebook Chat:

2. Press "Enter" on your keyboard to send the chat to your friend. The middle finger icon will show in your own Facebook Chat window and your friend's.

Tips

• If the friend you want to chat with is not logged in to Facebook Chat, you can still send them a middle finger emoticon as the chat message will be sent directly to their message inbox.

Warnings

• Before you send someone a middle finger emoticon on Facebook, it is important that you have selected the correct recipient. Accidentally sending a middle finger to the wrong person, such as a co-worker, boss, or family member, can have serious consequences for your career and life.
