1. 1 Draw a large rectangular shape. This will be the unfolded sheet of the scroll.
2. 2 Add tubular shapes to the top and bottom of the rectangular shape. These will be the rolls of the scroll.
3. 3 Circle the shape of the scroll. Draw some holes and gaps around the edges to make the scroll look ancient.
4. 4 Draw a handle at each end of each roll. They should look like the handles of an umbrella or a sword, study other images to understand what is at stake.
5. 5 Circle the drawing in black ink. Try to make a modular line that goes from thin to thick and vice versa. This will make your drawing look better and more professional.
6. 6 Erase your pencil sketches and start coloring. Use warm shades like beige and light yellow.

Tips

• If you're drawing a treasure hunt scroll for a birthday themed, for example, you can draw it on thick paper, crumple or scorch the edges to make it look more ancient. Be careful with fire!
