This wikiHow teaches you how to add an email account to your iPhone's Mail app.

To step

1. OpenTap on New account. That's at the bottom of the list of current accounts.
   • If you have a lot of email accounts on your iPhone, you need to scroll down first to see this option.
2. Select an email provider. Depending on which email provider you're using, click one of the following options:
   • iCloud - Apple Mail email accounts.
   • Exchange - Microsoft Exchange email accounts.
   • Google - Gmail or Google email accounts.
   • YAHOO! - Yahoo email accounts.
   • Aol. - AOL email accounts.
   • Outlook.com - Outlook, Hotmail, and Live Email Accounts.
   • If your email provider is not listed, tap Different at the bottom of the list.
3. Enter your account information. You will need to enter the email address and password of the account you wish to add.
   • This step depends on the email provider you are using.
   • If you chose the "Other" option, you will have to enter the email settings manually. Check your email provider's help page for details about the server.
4. Tap the white slider Decide whether to sync other account information. You can sync your email and calendar contacts with the Contacts and Calendar apps by tapping the white sliders on both options.
   • You can also create an account with your email address in the Notes app by tapping the white slider next to the "Notes" heading.
   • A green slider means that the data for this selected item will be synchronized.

Tips

• Any inboxes added to the Mail app on your iPhone will also be available on other Apple products you've signed in with your Apple ID.

Warnings

• Adding an account to your Mail app won't install an app for the email provider (for example, adding a Gmail account won't install the Gmail app).
