Netflix is ​​an American company that offers subscriptions to "streaming video on demand" over the Internet. For a fixed monthly fee, subscribers can watch unlimited TV series and films. It is now also available in the Netherlands and can be watched on a TV via a Wii, for example. In this article you can read how.

1. Connect your Wii to the internet. The settings for the internet connection can be found in the "Connections" menu.
   • Click on the Wii button at the bottom left. Click on "Wii Settings"
   • You'll find the "Internet" button on the second page of the "Wii Settings" menu.
   • To select an option, point to it and press the "A" button.
2. Open the "Wii Channels" menu. You can find this in the "Wii Shop Channel".
   • Select the "Wii Shop Channel" icon at the top right of the Wii Home screen and press "A".
   • If this is your first time using the service, agree to the terms of the Wii Shop Channel.
   • Select "Wii Channels" from the main Wii Shop Channel menu and press "A".
   • Then select "Start" and then "Start Shopping" at the bottom of the screen.
3. Find and download the Netflix app from the "Wii Channels" menu.
   • Find the Netflix app by scrolling through the list of apps. Press the Netflix icon and press "A" to view details on the "Information" page.
   • From the "Information" screen, select "Download: 0 Wii Points" or "Free: 0 Wii Points" to start the download.
   • From the "Download Location" screen, choose "Wii Console".
   • In the "Software Confirmation" screen, press the "Okay" button and then "Yes".
4. Wait for the app to download. This can take a few minutes.
   • After you are done, the "Download Successful!" displayed. Choose "Okay".
   • Now you should be able to access Netflix from the Wii menu.
5. Create a Netflix account if you don't already have one. You can only do this on your computer. Once you have done this you can switch back to your Wii.
6. Open the Netflix app from the Wii menu and log in.
   • Select "Start" to open the channel.
   • Select "Member Login".
   • Enter your email address and password and click "Continue".
7. Log out if desired. There is no sign out button on the Wii, so you can only sign out by disconnecting your Wii from your Netflix account. You can find out how to do that in this article.
   • It can be useful to disconnect your Wii from Netflix, for example if you are going to sell the Wii or if you do not want your children to be able to watch Netflix.
   • Netflix only lets you connect a limited number of devices to your account, so you may have to disconnect the Wii to watch Netflix from another device.

• Nintendo has made it easier to use Netflix on Wii; you no longer need a disk or activation code.
• The first month of Netflix is ​​free. So you can try it out for a month at no cost and then cancel it if necessary.
