This wikiHow shows you how to lock a Discord channel on a PC or Mac. Locking a channel prevents anyone on the server from using it in any way.

To step

1. Open Discord on your PC or Mac. You can do this in a web browser by logging in at https://discordapp.com. If you have the desktop app installed, you will find it under All apps in the Windows menu (Windows) or in the Applications folder (macOS).
   • You must be a server administrator or have the appropriate permissions to lock a channel.
2. Click on the server hosting the channel. Servers are on the left side of Discord.
3. Click on the gear next to the channel you want to lock. The cogwheel only appears when you hover your mouse over the channel name.A menu will appear.
4. click on Permissions. This is the second option in the menu.
5. click on @everyone. This is under the "Roles / Members" heading in the top center of the screen. This displays the channel's permissions for everyone on the server.
6. Click on the X next to any mandate. Each X turns red, indicating that server members are not allowed to use the channel in that way.
7. click on Save changes. This is the green button at the bottom of the screen. The channel is now locked, which means that no one on the server can access it.
