Installing the official Android File Transfer application on your Mac gives you the option to connect to your Android device and transfer files.   1. Click the Safari button on your Mac.

  4. Click the androidfiletransfer.dmg file in Downloads.
  5. Drag Android File Transfer to the Applications folder.

  1. Connect your Android to your Mac via USB.
  2. Unlock your Android screen. You must keep the screen unlocked to access the files.
  3. Swipe down to open the Android notification panel.
  4. Tap the USB option in the notification panel.
