Cooking frozen meat is a time-saving strategy for inexpensive cuts of meat. Frozen chicken breast can be cooked in an oven without sacrificing flavor. Read the recipe below to learn how to prepare frozen chicken breast.
To step
Part 1 of 3: Prepare the pan
Take a roasting pan with a raised edge. You can also place a roasting grid on a regular frying pan. You must be able to collect the meat moisture during cooking.
Cover the frying pan with aluminum foil.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Place a rack in the center of the oven.
- If you don't want dry roasted chicken, you can put the chicken in a non-stick bowl. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius to account for the fact that you will be covering the dish. The baking time is about the same.
Part 2 of 3: Preparing chicken breast
Remove 1 to 6 chicken breast (s) from the freezer.
Rinse the chicken under lukewarm running water. Remove as much ice as possible, but do not let the chicken thaw.
Place the chicken breast in the aluminum foil-lined pan.
Make your favorite spice mixture. You have 1 to 6 tbsp. seasoning, depending on the amount of meat you are preparing.
- For an easy recipe, use salt and pepper and a little lemon. You can also use a ready-made spice mixture.
- Put barbecue sauce or something similar on the chicken breast in the Teflon pan, if you prefer.
- For an easy recipe, use salt and pepper and a little lemon. You can also use a ready-made spice mixture.
Sprinkle 1/2 to 1 tbsp. herbs and spices on each side of the chicken breast.
Use tongs to flip the chicken breast. Season the other side.
Part 3 of 3: Preparing the chicken
Place the pan in an oven. Set the timer for 30 minutes, or 45 minutes, in case you don't want to add sauce to the chicken.
- The more chicken breasts you have, the longer it will take to cook. If you only prepare 1 chicken breast, it doesn't have to take more than 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove the pan from the oven. Pour extra barbecue sauce or marinade over the chicken.
Return the pan to the oven. Set your kitchen timer for 15 minutes.
Check the internal temperature of the chicken with a meat thermometer. Insert it far enough into the chicken so that you can measure the temperature of the middle part. When the temperature has risen to 74 degrees Celsius, you can take it out of the oven and serve.
