Part 1 of 2: Enabling the APK installation

1. Open your Android settings. This is the icon of Scroll down and tap Security.
2. Slide the "Unknown Sources" switch to the Download the APK file to your PC. You can place it on your desktop or in another folder on your computer.
3. Connect your Android to your PC using a USB cable. If you no longer have the cable that came with your Android, you can also use another suitable cable.
4. Tap the notification USB for ... on your Android. A list of options will appear.
5. Tap on Move files on your Android.
6. Go to the APK file on the computer. You do this by opening the folder where you downloaded the file.
7. Right click on the APK file.
8. click on Send to.
9. Select your Android. The name will be different per brand and model, but should at least be at the bottom of the list. The APK file will be sent to your Android.
10. Open your Android's file explorer. This one is usually called something like My files, Files or File Explorer, and you'll usually find it in the app drawer.
    • If you don't see a file explorer, tap the app Downloads in the app drawer, tap ☰, and select the save location.
    • If you don't have any of these options, you can download a free file explorer such as ES File Explorer from the Play Store.
11. Find the APK file. If you have an external SD card in your Android, you may find it in "External Storage".
12. Tap the APK file. A confirmation message will appear, asking if you really want to install the file.
13. Tap on INSTALL. This option can be found in the lower right corner of the screen. The app will now be installed on your Android. When the installation is complete, a confirmation message will appear.
14. Tap on READY. Your new app is now ready to use.
