1 Prepare your hair for styling. This means that you have to wash your hair (without using a special shampoo) and apply conditioner to it.

2 Pull your hair up to the side or back, depending on where you want the braid to be. If you are doing this yourself, it will be easiest to braid the braid from the side.

3 Braid your hair into two separate braids. They should be neat and even. When you're done braiding, tie the braids together with a single elastic band that matches your hair color.

4 Take at least two hairpins and connect the braids at the back. It is best to keep the hairpins the same color as your hair. Use as much as you need.
