Burn a selection of music for a friend to CD or even your own demos if you want to start a music career! Well, there are dozens of other reasons why a disc with music from your iTunes library would not hurt you. At the same time, in fact, you can burn a disc through iTunes itself - there would be a large enough disc at hand. This article will show you how to burn a CD using iTunes.

Steps

1. 1 Open iTunes.
2. 2 Create a playlist. To do this, go to File> New> Playlist. The playlist will appear on the left. Rename it as desired by clicking on the selected text and changing it.
3. 3 Add music tracks to the playlist. Just drag and drop the songs you want to burn to disc into the playlist you just created. As you drag songs, you will see a small green circle with a white “+” on it.
   • Songs can be added one at a time or several at once.
   • To add multiple songs at once, select the first song, hold down “shift” and click on the last song you want to add. The first song, the last song and everything in the list between them will be highlighted. Now you can just drag and drop them.
4. 4 Insert a blank CD-R / CD-RW disc into the drive. Wait a bit, the disk will appear on the desktop soon. You will have to wait really short, 30 seconds, no more.
   • A standard disc of the above type can hold 74 minutes of music (650 megabytes) or 80 minutes (700 megabytes) of data. If your playlist is longer than 80 minutes, you will need to use multiple discs.
5. 5 Go to File> Burn Playlist to Disc.
6. 6 Configure recording settings. Here, according to your wishes. When done, click “Burn”. In the settings, you can:
   • Set the speed at which to write to the disk. The point is this: the faster the recording, the lower the quality.
   • Set the interval (in seconds) between records.
   • Select disc format: audio, mp3, dvd. As a rule, the first format is chosen.
7. 7 Click on “Burn” and wait for the process to finish burning the disc. Based on the specified settings and your computer, everything can be over in a minute, or maybe in 10.
8. 8 Ready! When the disc is burned, you will see a corresponding notification. Remove the disc from the computer.
