In this article, we are going to show you how to enable the touchscreen on a Windows laptop using Device Manager.
Steps
1 Open up Device Manager. In it, you can turn on and off any equipment that is connected to the laptop.
- Open the Start menu or click the magnifying glass icon to open the search bar.
- Enter Device Manager.
- Click "Device Manager" in the search results.
2 Click the icon
at the category HID devices (Human Interface Devices). A list of devices in that category will be displayed.
3 Click on HID Compliant Touch Screen. This device is in the expanded category "HID Devices (Human Interface Devices)".
4 Click on Action. It's in the upper-left corner of the Device Manager window. A menu will open.
5 Please select Turn on in the Action menu. The laptop touchscreen will be enabled.
- In the same Action menu, the touch screen can be disabled.
