In this article, we'll show you how to sign out of the Google Drive app on your Android device by deleting your Google account. If you delete your account, you will be signed out of all Google apps on your device.

Steps

1. 1 Launch Google Drive on your Android device. Click on the green-yellow-blue triangle icon. A list of files and folders that are stored on Disk will open.
2. 2 Click on the three horizontal lines icon. You will find it in the upper left corner of the screen. A panel will open on the left of the screen.
   • If the contents of a folder are displayed on the screen, press the "Back" button.
3. 3 Click on your email address in the left pane. You will find it (and username) at the top of the left pane. The left pane will display your account settings.
4. 4 Click on Account management. This option is marked with a gray gear icon. A new page will open your account settings.
   • On older versions of Android, a pop-up window may open the sync menu instead of the settings on a new page.
5. 5 Click on Google in settings. A list of all apps and services that are synced with your Google account will open.
   • On some versions of Android, your email address will appear next to the Google logo in the sync menu. In this case, click on this address.
6. 6 Uncheck the option Disk. Your Google Account will not sync with the Drive app on your Android device. Files uploaded to Google Drive from other devices will no longer appear on the Android device.
7. 7 Click on the icon in the form of three vertical dots. You will find it in the upper right corner of the screen. A menu will open.
8. 8 Click on Delete account. The Google account is removed from the Android device, and all Google apps and services on the device are disabled from syncing. Confirm your actions in the pop-up window.
   • If you delete your account, you will be signed out of all Google apps and services on your device, including Chrome, Gmail, and Gogle Sheets. To avoid this, simply turn off sync for the Drive app, rather than deleting your account.
9. 9 Click on Delete your accountto confirm your actions. Your Google account will be deleted (on the device) and you will be signed out of Drive and all other Google apps.
