1 Use glycerin on dry paper towels to blot the paint off the carpet. Continue until the paint comes off.
2 Use nail polish remover or acetone to clean up any residue. Blot with paper towels.
3 Mix detergent and water in a bucket according to the instructions on the detergent label.
4 Finish cleaning with a sponge dampened in the solution. Don't use too much water.
5 Dry the area with a towel.
6 Vacuum.
Tips
- If you can't remove the stain, you may need to cut out a piece of carpet and replace it with a new one.
- Keep everything you need close at hand so you can quickly wipe the stain. Fresh paint is much easier to clean than dried paint.
