Using the AUX cable, you can connect any portable mp3 or CD player to a stereo that supports AUX. You can buy it from an audio store or make your own.

Steps

  1. 1 Take your unwanted headphones, remove the earbuds from them, and strip the wires to reveal the colored contacts.
  2. 2 Take another pair of headphones and do the same.
  3. 3 Connect wires of the same color to each other (plus to plus, minus to minus).
  4. 4 Then take simple, non-colored copper contacts and connect them to the same contacts. Connect in the same way as colored ones: a simple contact to a simple one next to the corresponding colored one.
  5. 5 Twist the wires so that they are firmly in contact with each other.
  6. 6 Cover the connections with electrical tape or use a soldering iron.
  7. 7 Now connect the cable to your mp3 player, voice recorder, CD player, or other device to connect to another sound system using the jack, such as a car stereo or home theater.
