The Linux Mint operating system offers thousands of different programs and applications. But what if you want to uninstall one of the apps? Read on!

Steps

Method 1 of 3: Uninstall from the program menu

1. 1 Click "Menu". Navigate to the app you want to uninstall. Right click on the unwanted program and select Uninstall.
2. 2 Enter your password and click "Confirm".
3. 3 Look at the messages, which will say: "The following applications will be removed." Click the Remove button.
4. 4 Wait while the program is uninstalled. This may take some time. Then the uninstall window will disappear.

Method 2 of 3: Uninstall via "Synaptic Package Manager"

1. 1 Open "Synaptic Package Manager". Select "Menu" and click "Package Manager", then enter the password.
2. 2 In the quick filter, enter the name of the software you want to remove.
3. 3 Right click on the program and select "Mark for Removal".
4. 4 Click the Apply button.
5. 5 Check the list. This is the last opportunity to see the list of marked programs before deleting them. Click the Apply button.
6. 6 Wait while the program is uninstalled. This may take some time.
7. 7 Close the window.

Method 3 of 3: Delete via Terminal

1. 1 Open a terminal by pressing the key combination CTRL + ALT + T.
2. 2 Copy the following command: sudo apt-get remove frozen-bubble
3. 3 Press "Enter" and enter the password.
4. 4 Look in the terminal window for more information!
   • Example: The following packages were installed automatically and are no longer required.
5. 5 Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them. The “autoremove” command is most effective. Enter "Y" and press "Enter" to continue.
