Pinterest, like most search apps, stores your searches to tailor the search results for you. While this is a useful feature, it slows down your device (or browser) over time. Fortunately, you can quickly clear your search history in your account settings.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Pinterest app

1. 1 Launch the Pinterest app. If you haven't signed in to Pinterest yet, please do so with your email and password (or Facebook account).
2. 2 Click on the profile icon. It's a person-shaped icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. 3 Click on the gear-shaped icon. It's in the upper right corner of the screen.
4. 4 Click on Change.
5. 5 Tap Clear the history. The search history will be deleted.
   • You can also click Clear cacheto get rid of the search suggestions.

Method 2 of 2: Pinterest site (desktop)

1. 1 Open up Pinterest site. If you haven't signed in to Pinterest yet, please do so with your email and password (or Facebook account).
2. 2 Click on the profile icon. It's a person-shaped icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. 3 Click on the gear-shaped icon. You will find it above your profile name at the top of the page.
4. 4 Click on Clear the history.
5. 5 Click on Save settings. The search history will be deleted.

Tips

• In your Pinterest settings, you can prevent search engines (such as Google or Bing) from accessing your search history.

Warnings

• Clearing Pinterest Search History will not clear your browser history.
