The tech industry is growing incredibly fast, and it's unlikely that growth will slow anytime soon. Getting savvy in this area isn't that difficult, but it still takes some effort and time to master the basics. Whatever you decide to deepen your knowledge of technology (and not just to become a geek!), Assessing your knowledge is a good place to start. If you know how a computer works, if you understand the characteristics of processors, RAM, hard drives, flash drives, if you confidently use operating systems like Windows, OS X, Linux, if you are familiar with programming languages, for example, C / C ++, C #, Java, Python, or web programming HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySql, then most likely you are no longer a beginner. Whether you are a beginner or not, getting good at technology takes enthusiasm and dedication. The following steps will help you get started on this fun journey.
Steps
1 Use Google. Google is your friend. If you have a specific question or need to investigate a specific problem, search for answers using Google. 
2 Look for information about computers. You can find it in e-books, on websites, or in books you can find at your nearest library. As stated above, use Google to find all of this. You may also find Usenet useful for finding information about computers. 
3 Acquire knowledge in different areas. For example, you may never want to buy a digital camera or answer people questions about its design, but you should at least have a rough idea of how it works in order to improve your knowledge. Everything that you learn may come in handy sooner or later. 
4 Become a specialist. What is a technology-related subject that interests you or brings you pleasure? Let's say this is writing blogs using Wordpress. Explore this topic and find out how it works from your own experience. 
5 Figure out how protect your computer from viruses, spyware and malicious software. Examples of great antivirus programs include Avast, Malwarebytes, Spybot, AVG, and Spyhunter. There are many antivirus programs available, some of which are free. 
6 Learn to program. Programming is one of the most important skills in technology. If people didn’t know how to program, there would be no Internet and even Windows! We wouldn't have video games, mp3 players, or anything else related to electronics (although electric lighting, of course, would still be). There are many programming languages such as Python (recommended for beginners), C, C ++, C #, Java, and PHP. There are many sites on the Internet that teach programming. 7 Use Unix or Linux. Operating systems of the Unix family are very popular among the most technically advanced among people. These operating systems are free and their source code is free. There are also better programming tools for them than for Windows. 
8 Join the online community of tech pundits and don't hesitate to ask them questions.
9 Have conversations about science and technology with knowledgeable colleagues, classmates, and more. So you can learn something new from them or orient yourself and understand which direction you should study further.

- It is impossible to become tech-savvy in one day, just as it is impossible to remain a tech-savvy once and for all. The world is constantly changing. Stay on top of technological breakthroughs and new products.
