Twenty years ago, no one independently printed invitations to anniversaries, weddings or other celebrations. However, today you can create and print such invitations using a simple computer program. As a rule, they are monogrammed by the sender.

Steps

  1. 1 Start Microsoft Word.

  2. 2 Enter the three letters that will form the monogram. First enter the first letter of your first name, then the first letter of your middle name, and at the end, the first letter of your last name.
    • Monograms often convey a sense of tradition and the above description is the standard way to enter a monogram. However, you can get creative and display the monogram in a different way.
  3. 3 Scroll through the list of available fonts and select the one that best suits your monogram.
    • There are dozens of fonts included in the program, depending on the version of Microsoft Word. However, you can find hundreds (if not thousands) of other fonts on the Internet (be careful when downloading them from unknown sites).
  4. 4 Increase the size of the second letter (if you have a three-letter monogram) twice (compared to the first and third letters).
  5. 5 Select the second letter, right-click on it and select "Font". Check the Subscript option.
  6. 6 Select the first letter, right-click on it and choose "Font". Check the "Superscript" option.
    • Repeat this step with the third letter.
  7. 7 Change the font size (if necessary) if the monogram does not look as expected after the letters are indexed.
  8. 8 Choose a different font color if black doesn't work for you. In Microsoft 2007, select the monogram, right-click on it, and select the font color icon (in the middle of the bottom line of the menu that opens).
    • Choose a relatively dark color.
  9. 9 Determine the location of the monogram in the document. Select the monogram and press Ctrl + C to copy it.
    • Print a test page and make sure the monogram looks the way you want it to. Sometimes the printed and screen versions of the monogram look different.
