This article will show you how to view downloaded, synced, or recorded video on iPhone.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: How to view downloaded or synced videos
1 Launch the TV app. Click on the black TV icon.
2 Click Library. It's in the lower-left corner of the screen.
3 Select the type of video. Videos are sorted by type:
- tap Show to watch TV shows you have purchased;
- click on "Movies" to view the movies you have purchased;
- Click Videos to view videos, including movies or TV shows, that you yourself added to iTunes rather than purchased from the iTunes Store.
- Tap Downloaded to view videos stored in iPhone's internal storage.
- You can stream videos you've purchased from iTunes, but this requires a wireless connection. If you do not want or do not have the ability to use a wireless connection (for example, on an airplane), download videos to your iPhone.
4 Click on the video. After selecting the type of video, tap it.
- TV shows can include multiple episodes or episodes, so tap the show name and then tap the episode (or episode) you want.
5 Press ▶ ️. This icon appears in the center of the screen. The video starts playing.
- Tap the screen during playback to reveal the controls - the pause button, rewind button, and fast forward button.
Method 2 of 2: How to view recorded videos
1 Launch the Photos app. Click on the white icon with a multicolored chamomile.
2 Click Albums. It's in the lower-right corner of your screen.
3 Scroll down and tap Video. This album contains clips recorded with the iPhone camera.
4 Click on the video. The movie window will open.
5 Tap ▶ ️. This icon appears in the center of the screen. The clip will start playing.
Tips
- Videos can be downloaded from iTunes using the iTunes application.
- Videos can be synced to iTunes via USB cable or wireless.
Warnings
- Videos take up a lot of iPhone storage space. If space is tight, delete some movies or TV shows to free up space.
- Watching a video will drain your battery quickly.
