Steps

Method 1 of 2: Hide Pre-Installed Apps

1. 1 Launch the Settings app.
2. 2 Click on the option Applications. If there is a heading above the Settings menu, then first click on the Devices heading.
3. 3 Press Application Manager.
4. 4 Click on the "All" tab.
5. 5 Click on the app you want to hide.
6. 6 Click on the button Hide. This will hide the application from the desktop.
   • If the application is not preinstalled, instead of the Hide option, there may be an Uninstall option.
   • You can find hidden applications in the Applications menu, in the Hidden section.

Method 2 of 2: App to hide apps

1. 1 Open the Google Play Store.
2. 2 Click on the magnifying glass icon.
3. 3 Enter the name of the application. The most common apps for hiding apps are Nova Launcher Prime and Apex Launche.
4. 4 Click on Search.
5. 5 Review the search results. You need to choose an app with a high rating and a lot of views.
6. 6 Click on the app.
7. 7 Click on the button Install or Buy. This button is in the upper right of the screen.
   • Recheck this step if the app you are looking for is a paid app.
8. 8 Click on the button To acceptif asked to do so. After that, the download of the application will begin.
9. 9 Click on the button Open. This option will become available in the Google Play Store when the app is downloaded.
   • The app can also be launched from the App drawer.
10. 10 Follow the directions on the screen. Since apps are different from each other, the process for hiding them can also be different.
    • Take Nova Launcher for example. Must click App & Widget Drawers, Then Hide Apps (Hide Apps) and then select the apps you want to hide.
    • In Apex Launcher, you need to click Apex Settings (Apex Settings) then Drawer Settings (Drawer Settings), then Hidden Apps (Hidden applications), then select applications.
11. 11 Close the application. The apps you selected will now be hidden.

Tips

• On some operating systems, the Applications tab in the settings menu may be called Programs.
