In this article, wikiHow will show you how to post on Reddit. You can post using your phone app or website on your computer. Before posting on Reddit, you can refer to the etiquette of posting.

Steps

Method 1 of 3: On the computer

1. 

   Open Reddit. Access https://www.reddit.com/ on your favorite browser. As long as you're logged into your Reddit account, the browser will open the Reddit hot page.
   • If not logged in, click Log in or sign up (Login or Register) in the upper right corner of the screen, enter your username and password, then click LOG IN (Log in).

   Access the subreddit you want to post. Click MY SUBREDDITS in the top left corner of the screen and click, or type the name of the subreddit in the search field on the right side of the page, press the key. ↵ Enter, click on the subreddit name.
   • Anything that has "/ r /" before the name is a subreddit.

   Select the type of post you want to post. Click Submit a link (Send link) or Submit a text post (Submit articles) in the upper right corner of the screen. Affiliate posts allow you to submit links to (or post) photos, videos, or articles, while the article includes only written content.
   • Depending on the subreddit you choose, the post type may be described differently (for example, in subreddit / r / funny, you can choose Submit a humorous link (Send funny link) or Submit a comical text post (Submit a humorous article).
   • Some subreddits have only one post option, others have more options.

   Create a post. The post process depends on the post type you choose:
   • Link (Link) - Click the web address of the content you want to share in the "URL" dialog box, enter a title in the "title" box. You can post photos or videos instead of posting links by choosing CHOOSE FILE (Select a file) in the "image / video" dialog box then select the file from your computer.
   • Text (Text) - Enter a title in the "title" dialog box. You can enter text in the "text (optional)" dialog box (Text (optional)).

   Check the dialog box "I'm not a robot" (I'm not a robot). This dialog box is located below your post.

Method 2 of 3: On the phone

1. 

   Open Reddit. The app has a white icon with an orange Reddit alien face. If you are logged into a Reddit account, you will be redirected to the homepage.
   • If not logged in, touch LOGIN and enter the username and password to login.

   Tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen.

   Enter a subreddit name. This is how to find a list of subreddit and the right post for the keyword.

   Click on the subreddit. You are taken to the subreddit page.

   Click the "Post" button. This button has a green box icon with a white pencil in the upper left corner of the subreddit screen. This opens a menu containing the following options:
   • TEXT (Text) - Create text posts.
   • IMAGE / VIDEO (Photos / videos) - Upload photos or videos from your mobile device's photo gallery.
   • LINK (Links) - Paste links of photos, videos, articles or other online content.

   Click on the post option. This will open the post form.

   Enter the article title. Enter a title in the "An interesting title" field at the top of the screen.

   Enter post information. Depending on the post type you choose, the information will be different.
   • Text (Text) - Enter the text of the article (Optional).
   • Image or Video (Photo or Video) - Click Camera (Camera) or Thư viện (Photo Gallery), then take a photo, record a video, or select a photo / video from your device's gallery.
   • Link (Link) - Enter a web address in the "http: //" field in the middle of the screen.

Method 3 of 3: Observe etiquette

1. 

   Learn global rules. This rule applies to posting on the Reddit forum:
   • Do not post child or teen porn. Including erotic content.
   • No spam. Spam is the habit of posting the same content many times, or spamming the same post with the same information many times.
   • Do not interfere with others to vote for your post. Whether begging or politely asking is prohibited.
   • Do not post personal information. Include personal information about yourself and that of others.
   • Do not vandalize or affect Reddit website.

   Follow the rules on the subreddit. Subreddits are governed by its own rules, which are part of Reddit's global rule set. Most are the rules regarding content restriction.
   • To learn the rules of each subreddit, click on the subreddit link, click the menu button in the upper right corner of the screen, select Community Info (Community Info) (mobile), or click on the right side of the main reddit (desktop) screen.
   • Breaking Reddit's rules, you shouldn't have any serious trouble, but you and your post can be removed from that subreddit. It also annoys other users of that subreddit.

   • Let everyone know why you edited a comment. It would be more polite to explain why the comment was edited because everyone will see that the post was edited.
   • Don't be mean to be rude. Reddit strives to promote a strong community, the rudeness will hurt the community.
   • Do not initiate or engage in teasing or aggression on the Internet or targeting other users without making any contribution to the community.
