1 Purchase and prepare the utensils, items, and ingredients listed in the “What You Will Need” list.
  • 2 Measure wax and almond oil in a small Pyrex glass jar or bowl.
  • 3 Melt the wax. Pour 2 cm of water into a small saucepan and place a jar or bowl of wax in it. Bring water to a boil. The wax will begin to melt gradually.
  • 4 When all the wax is completely melted, remove the pan from the heat.
  • 5 Add and stir the essential oil using a thin straw or stick. We suggest using a straw or thin stick, because the wax will start to harden on whatever you stir it with; your goal is to find something with a minimal surface so that the loss of the final product is as small as possible. Also, you should take an item that you do not mind throwing away so that you do not have to wash it. Mix thoroughly.
  • 6 Pour out the liquid wax into the final container (in which you will store the perfume). After about half an hour, the wax will cool, harden and be ready for use. At the exit you will receive about 30 ml of dry perfume.
  • 7 Apply perfume. To apply perfume, simply rub your finger over the surface of the cured wax and rub the area you want to scent (for example, the inner part of the wrist and the place behind the ear). You can also use dry perfume in many different ways:
    • Make a cedar perfume and rub it on your dog collar. The scent of cedar is tick-repellent, and it smells great too!
    • Rub your feet with cedar or cypress to prevent fungal infections and bacteria that cause bad odor.
    • Create a soothing, relaxing scent with chamomile or lavender essential oil.
    • Dab some perfume on your business cards - this Japanese tradition will make your business cards unique and memorable.
    • Rub the inside of your wallet to get rid of the foul smell of dirty money.
  • Tips

    • For a convenient, portable option, empty and rinse a bottle of chapstick (such as Chapstick) and pour melted wax into it.
    • For a great gift, find a cute container (look for a suitable one in craft stores or jewelry departments). The container should be shaped like a bowl, not a bottle (shallow, not deep) so that you can easily reach the wax with your fingers.
    • In most stores and pharmacies, you can find essential oils sold in very small quantities (not in bottles, but in thin glass cones). Open 2-3 of these probes at a time to create a combination scent and find a good combination. Choose a base scent and use this oil more than others; choose a few background, background scents, and use less of those oils. For background scents, the following are suitable:
      • clary sage. This plant has a slightly smoky odor. It helps you concentrate and enhances creative thinking.
      • orange or ginger, have a warming effect
      • ylang-ylang - not too sweet floral scent to be an exclusively “feminine scent”; a joyous scent subtle enough to be in the background
      • cedar, repels insects
    • Candle factories sometimes sell scented oils that copy well-known perfume brands, and which perform well with wax.
    • The only ingredient that can be expensive are essential oils. Especially if the oil is made from a mixture of several flavors that require an initial investment. Of course, you can use one simple, pleasant scent. One bottle of essential oil is enough for a lot of perfumes, since only a few drops go into the perfume.
    • Visit aromatherapy sites to find out the psychological properties of different scents.
